The Pinda Study group is:

  • Tasleem Ahmed

  • Kalpesh Bohara

  • Raj Ahlowalia

  • Andrew Shelley

The purpose of the group is to share information about dental implantology and bone grafting in particular.  However all aspects of dentistry are open for discussion. For example we already have some information about dental composites.

The group will stay in touch by e-mail but use this page to post articles and other information of interest.  I have set the ball rolling by posting my article about the transymphyseal x-ray technique and Raj has sent in some information about potential toxicity of dental composite.  I've also posted the link for the bone grafting course that I took in Orlando.

If you want to post anything on this page just e-mail it to me at andrew@andrewshelley.com and I'll put it up. If the amount of information gets too much I can always divide it up into separate pages.  (We might need a whole new website for bone rings though)

Best wishes

Andrew

Raj's top tips for equilibrations.

Could you remind me of the name of the yellow dye that you were using to mark up your mock equilibrations ?  It was an acrylic wasn’t it ?  Where do you get it from ? Andrew

Just regular yellow acrylic paint from any arts and crafts shop, runny for almost watercolour thinness. I use acrylic ink for this.  Raj

To remember the sequence of your trial equilibration,  photograph each step.  Then make the photographs into a series on your laptop which you can review as you perform the equilibration for real. Raj
