I've recently bought myself a Sony handycam. Unbelievably it costs
less than £200 and the Movie Maker software to edit movies comes free
with Windows.

Anyway I've started making some home movies. The intention was
to make movies that I could use for teaching and for practice promotion.
However the first one was the film of Alison's Aunty Hazel's 70th
birthday party at Symond's Yat in Herefordshire. For some of the
teaching ones I only have the patient's permission to use them for
teaching so I haven't included them. However Chris, the patient in
the implant one, is perfectly happy for me to show it around.
Thanks Chris.
If anyone is interested I would definitely recommend the camera which
is called a Sony DCR-HC37 Handycam. It works with mini DV tapes
which at the moment seem to be the easiest medium for transferring
movies to a computer for editing.
